Florida Trips Magazine (FlaTrips.com) was founded by Bob and SueAnn Carpenter in December 2010. The Bradenton, Florida couple launched their first issue March 2011, publishing a new issue featuring stories from each of the five regions every month thereafter through the September 2012 issue.
In August 2012, Lisa Loucks Christenson, Publisher and President of Loucks-Christenson Publishing acquired the Florida publication as a new imprint to her rapidly expanding, 100% female-owned, USA publishing company. Lisa commented, "Bob and SueAnn laid a solid foundation; compiled a large story archive of events, trips ideas, and happenings throughout Florida, created a growing and active mailing list and subscriber base, and more. I commend their efforts and will always give them both full credit for their conception of this publication. It was their skill, knowledge, and drive that created the success of this publication. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring Florida Trips Magazine™ to a new level, both online and in print. Additionally, I'm both thankful and honored that Bob and SueAnn have agreed to stay on as our Sr. Editorial Team supplying our Florida-wide writing and photo needs for our future issues. "
The October 2012 issue features the first edition under Lisa's branding and new design, logo, expanded editorial content, contests, and is now available online or in paperback print editions, with an annual edition planned featuring select stories in the near future.
