Lisa Loucks Christenson's Bald Eagle Documentary
This is the unedited, quickly scrawled notes from year four of my documentary (partial year).
In 2012, Lisa will begin year eight with the eagles.
Lisa's Bald Eagle Documentary™
Lisa Loucks Christenson began her bald eagle documentary in 2005
and has written a private archive book for each year of her story. Her
eagle project has been featured on Ron Schara's Minnesota Bound, The Big
Wild, The Post-Bulletin, KTTC NEWS, The National Eagle Center, and
will be featured in the upcoming issue of Travel World International,
among displayed on the walls of her gallery.
She offers what a web cam can't: shots of the eagles surroundings,
interaction with other wildlife, and the ongoing relationship between
parents and offspring, even into the second year and beyond.
She has photographed over a million images that are in her private
library, and over 600 hours of raw eagle footage that will be later made
into a video for resale. Her project is entirely self-funded from her
art sales, and cards she sells at her gallery. She does not accept
donations, but would appreciate your support in prayers.

Valentine's Day Business
(ABC 6 News) -- Valentine's Day is considered one of the biggest
gift-giving holidays of the year.
...But if flowers aren't your thing, there's always chocolate.
"These are long stemmed strawberries. They were picked last night in
California and flown in this morning," White Wolf Creek owner David
Christenson says.
It's just one of many sweet treats you can find at White Wolf Creek, but
their specialty is the annual wild game dinner for two.
"Alligator crepes which has alligator, crab and shrimp in it. Then we'll
be doing also a duck crepe this evening. It has a wild rice and duck in
a raspberry sauce," Christenson explains.
Other menu items include wild boar and rainbow trout.
It's a unique way to show that special someone just how much you care.
"Last year we had a line out the door," Christenson says....

Holiday treats are already adding pounds for David Christenson.
Thankfully, it is the Rochester chocolate artist's workload that is
rapidly growing, not his waistline.
To fill an order for an upcoming appearance on the omnipresent QVC
shopping channel, he needs to make an avalanche of fudge — a whopping
7,000 pounds' worth — in the next few weeks.
Yes, 7,000 pounds! The calorie total must be mind-boggling and well
beyond my limited math skills.

Rochester, MN (PRWEB) September 12, 2006 -- Lisa Loucks-Christenson’s
Collector Print: Fall Flight 2006 Donated to Ducks Unlimited
Lisa Loucks-Christenson of Rochester, Minnesota, is donating what she
said is a rain, fall, and Ducks Unlimited inspired piece.
Loucks-Christenson said, "What started out as just a cool, rainy Sunday
with the agenda to fulfill the ‘desires of her heart,’ that being to
create some new artwork for the Rochester Area Chapter Ducks Unlimited
auction, instead turned into a frenzy of wings, as fall-colored
feathered birds began flocking to her vision."
Loucks-Christenson picked Sunday September 10, 2006, as the day to go
and explore the wetlands after working on her longest running
documentary: Walk The Burn, a study of a marsh, which is at 520
consecutive days already.

ELBA -- In the next few years, you'll be able to sit in your recliner,
sip a cup of coffee, and enjoy crisp, startling images of bald eagles
raising their young, mosquitoes feeding on the blood of a frog and
wildflowers in the heart of the Whitewater Valley.
Savor them, enjoy the work of Lisa Loucks Christenson of Rochester. But
know that she went through more than a year of mud and mosquitoes, cold
and fog, snow and heat to get them.
You should also know that she loved it, enjoyed the daily trip to the
valley in snowstorm and fog, relished slithering through muck to sneak
up on a frog, and waiting for hours to get a shot of an eagle.

LIFE IN THE NEST
Whitewater Valley, MN (KTTC-TV) -- It's another day on Lisa
Christenson's journey.
A journey she captures through the lens of her camera.
Nature photographer Lisa Christenson started down this path four years
ago. She was studying the sandhill cranes in the Whitewater Valley, but
the small white heads of the bald eagle caught her attention.
Lisa Christenson says, "I heard that faint cry of an eaglet and I said
this is cool and I will be back here every day until he flies and i
was."
But soon Lisa realized something more was happening in the eagle nest.
"I kept seeing babies coming back into the nest which is unheard of but
the babies weren't leaving."

I guess no one told David and Lisa Loucks Christenson about the way we
Rochesterites behave when there's a new restaurant in town. They thought
they'd open their new bistro, White Wolf Creek, quietly and finish the
remodeling and menus as people slowly found them. But that's not how we
do things in Rochester. Once word gets out, we flock like geese.

Hopeful Hart
Alicia
Hart has researched a family mystery, written a book, and is now
contemplating a return to her counseling practice when she is faced with
a different alternative. Thomas Camp proposes that she act as a life
coach to him while doing genealogy research to determine where the
mental illness in his family originated. He would also like to know what
symptoms his ancestors demonstrated so his psychiatrist can get a
better handle on his problems. The final request he makes is for Alicia
to determine if he is being paranoid or if someone is really stalking
him. Her quest leads her to Athens Mental Hospital and to archives all
over the state of Ohio.
In pursuing the answers to these questions Alicia finds she had put both herself and her client into jeopardy.
Only a miracle will save them. Will it come in time?
